The perfect addition to a grilled steak is a batch of Drunken Mushrooms.  This sauce is so rich and delicious when drizzled over your steak.  It will literally melt in your mouth…and you’ll get extra credit for adding a veggie to your meal!!!  ENJOY!

Yields 3-4 servings


2 cups sliced baby portobello mushrooms (or more if you desire)

2 tbsp Kerrygold salted butter

Bottle of red wine


  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter.
  2. Add mushrooms.
  3. Pull the pot away from the stove so it doesn’t catch fire!  Then pour wine over the mushrooms, just enough to cover them.
  4. Put the pot back on the stove, then simmer COVERED until the mushrooms turn purple (approximately 20 minutes).
  5. Serve with your favorite steak and ENJOY!

(Drizzle the sauce over the top of your steak and prepare to be amazed!)
