Supplements I take and why…

If you’re like me, you rely on supplements to fill the gaps in your nutrition and support your well-being. I originally did this by taking a daily multi-vitamin (GNC in 1990’s), which turned into a whole slew of pills (Advocare in 2000’s…anyone else?). Then I ditched all that when Shakeology (Beachbody circa 2012) was introduced to me because I couldn’t bear to swallow anymore pills. I drank Shakeology for over 12 years, until it no longer fit in my daily routine. I went back to a daily nutrition pack of pills (1st Phorm in 2024), until we figured out that my husband was allergic to the fish oil. And honestly, the plastic capsules were bothering my stomach.

In my search to find new daily supplements that aligned with my health goals and fit into my daily life, I first found the Yū Trim Fit, which I wrote about in a previous blog post – CLICK HERE TO READ.

I started looking into Yū’s entire supplement line and saw people posting about how amazing they felt. I ordered the complete sample pack to see how they tasted – and they were delicious, so I incorporated into my daily routine to give a good test run!

I have now taken these supplements consistently since May 2025, so about 3 months. Wow – I can honestly tell a difference in how I feel! No stomach ache from pills. No neon yellow pee. Massive improvement in my poop (sorry TMI, but it’s important!). Massive improvement in digestion…and indigestion is gone. Clean energy all day with no crash or jitters. Hair, skin and nails have never looked better. Sleep is much deeper and more restful.

My current supplement line-up:

Protect Probiotic

  • When/how I take it: First thing in the morning on an empty stomach, melts on your tongue like a Pixy Stix
  • Why I take it: Improves digestion & supports immune system

Hydrate

  • When/how I take it: In the morning, mix in 8 oz. cold water and chug
  • Why I take it: Replenishes electrolytes and sets up hydration for the day ahead

PRE-WORKOUT COCKTAIL:

Performance Reds + Charge

  • When/how I take it: During my workout, 1 packet of Reds with 2 level scoops of Charge in 26 oz. water and ice
  • Why I take it: Increases cardiovascular circulation, energy and endurance

VITAMIN COCKTAIL:

Earth & Ocean Greens + Unflavored Collagen + Trim Fit

  • When/how I take it: Mid-morning, mix 1 packet of each together in 20 oz. water
  • Why I take it: Daily vitamins, supports bone health, suppresses appetite, increases energy, improves mood and cognitive performance

Enhanced Bioactive Turmeric

  • When/how I take it: After dinner, mix with 8 oz. cold almond milk and sip as a nightcap
  • Why I take it: Promotes relaxation and sets up deep sleep, calms racing thoughts, aids digestion and combats inflammation

Did I mention that all of these are absolutely delicious? Your body will crave the nutrients…but your mouth will crave the taste!!
