You might not want to hear this, but having a solid morning routine is the key to winning the day EVERY DAY.
It sets the tone for productivity and positivity, giving you a head start before distractions set in. By dedicating time each morning to focus on your goals, whether it’s through exercise, meditation, or planning out your tasks, you build momentum and establish a sense of control.
Those who consistently follow a structured morning routine often find themselves more energized, focused, and ready to tackle whatever challenges come their way. So, if you’re looking to boost your effectiveness, start by refining your mornings.
Here’s a skeleton of my morning routine:
- Wake up, brush teeth, put contacts in and workout clothes on
- Throw a load of laundry in the washing machine
- Coffee while writing in my gratitude journal, followed by a 10-minute guided meditation (click to shop the journal I use)
- Move laundry to the dryer, make my pre-workout cocktail and head upstairs for a workout
- Breakfast, fold laundry, shower/get ready and head to work!
This morning routine makes me feel accomplished and helps me take care of my family.
Bonus – doing one load of laundry each morning means I don’t have to spend all weekend trying to get it all done!
