The perfect addition to a grilled steak is a batch of Drunken Mushrooms. This sauce is so rich and delicious when drizzled over your steak. It will literally melt in your mouth…and you’ll get extra credit for adding a veggie to your meal!!! ENJOY!
Yields 3-4 servings
2 cups sliced baby portobello mushrooms (or more if you desire)
2 tbsp Kerrygold salted butter
Bottle of red wine
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter.
- Add mushrooms.
- Pull the pot away from the stove so it doesn’t catch fire! Then pour wine over the mushrooms, just enough to cover them.
- Put the pot back on the stove, then simmer COVERED until the mushrooms turn purple (approximately 20 minutes).
- Serve with your favorite steak and ENJOY!
(Drizzle the sauce over the top of your steak and prepare to be amazed!)
